Importance of mentors in this digital life
The relationship between a mentor and a mentee can be the strongest relationship in their business lives, as an experienced and trusted adviser who knows the in and outs of the business world and guides his/her mentee through the obstacles in their business journeys.
Many of the world’s most powerful business leaders have gone on records saying how their mentors have helped them become what they are today.
Some instances:
“I went and I met with Steve [Jobs], and he said that to reconnect with what I believed was the mission of the company, I should go visit this temple in India that he had gone to early in the evolution of Apple, when he was thinking about what he wanted his vision of the future to be.” -Mark Zuckerberg
“Larry and I searched for over a year and managed to alienate 50 of the top executives in Silicon Valley. Eric was experienced and the only one who went to Burning Man. Which we thought was an important criterion. He’s a great cultural fit. We hang out together. We discuss and decide on stuff together. More companies should look at cultural fit,”-Sergey Brin
Having a mentor makes your road comparatively easier and gives you a head start over those people who don’t have a mentor in their business life. Because with a mentor alongside you, you have someone who already has the knowledge of the business and there is someone who knows in advance which mistakes to avoid.
But in this digital and fast-paced world, it is not easy for a mentor to be always alongside the mentee. And hence there is a need for an online mentoring platform or a mentoring software that will remove the need of the physical interaction and make the mentoring process easier.
In this e-Age, an e mentor or online business mentor is required for young entrepreneurs that can guide them even when the distance is country miles apart to help them get through.
